The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of the ABB Bermac Panel Shop. The shop builds Automation and Electrical panel hardware solutions predominantly for Oil & Gas customers in W.Canada. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for projecting staffing demands then hiring/reassigning/releasing staff/contractors as necessary. They will estimate labor and materials for shop work in support of larger project proposals and directly create proposals in response to customer enquiries. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible to optimize shop operational costs including material procurement, job scheduling, inventory control and tooling/work-process improvements. The person will directly supervise shop foremen, and administrative staff so and must be capable of directing staff and assessing performance in a multicultural union/non--union environment.
